    Camping

    There are two options for camping at the Blackwood Marathon

    1) Camping at the Showground - Bridgetown

    No Bookings, campsites issued on Arrival.

    Contact (08) 9761 9055. Entry from Peninisula Rd (just past Hospital).
    No prior booking required. Gate entry – armbands issued on entry.
    Grounds open 4:00pm Friday. Grounds close 10:00am Sunday.
    $25:00 per head (Friday & Saturday nights).
    $20.00 per head Saturday only.
    Under 15yrs free.
    Includes hot showers and toilets.
    Horses to be yarded in horse yards only, 37 available, water tap nearby.
    If you have a horse, please camp nearby, do not leave your horse unattended.
    Tag your horse with your contact details, they can and do escape.
    Horse feed etc brought in must be removed on leaving, manure must be bagged and removed.
                 

    Please place all rubbish in bins provided.
    NO FIRES ALLOWED and NO DOGS ALLOWED

    2) Camping at the Bridgetown Sports Ground

    There will be a bar operating from 6:00pm on Friday at the Sports Ground

    The event finishes here and the camping is free.
    No booking required, find your own site, there is plenty of room. There are two main areas.
        The first is just at the entrance to the sports ground to the south of the trotting stalls.
        The second is through entrance gates to the west of the oval against the boundary fence. 
    There are limited facilities, toilets with limited access to showers.
        Showers at the Football Club Rooms avaialable Friday - Saturday 4:00 till 7:00pm
        A shower will be available at the Trotting Stewards Room.
    There are trotting stalls for horses or bring your own enclosures.

    HORSES
    • If you have a horse, please camp nearby, do not leave your horse unattended.
